Bio
I am a hard working and dedicated 25-year-old that's passionate about CrossFit and weightlifting. I was a gymnast from the age of 5 until I was 16. I turned into a globo gym rat once I quit gymnastics to stay in shape, then finally found my way to CrossFit in 2012. I was hooked immediately and started competing months after I joined. In 2013 I competed in my first Regional competition with a team, we finished 9th and it left me hungry for more. I stuck to local competitions until 2014 when I competed with the same team at the Southwest Regional and finished 5th. The weekend after 2014 regionals I competed and won my first weightlifting competition, and qualified to compete at Nationals the next month. I focused on weightlifting for the following weeks and competed in my second meet at Nationals and walked away being the National Champion as a 69kg lifter. Since then I've held onto the #1 snatch title by taking the first place snatch at the American Open with a 91kg snatch (200 lbs).

Training for both weightlifting and CrossFit has been a tough balance to find, but now that I've found what works for me. I look forward to my training sessions every single day. I've learned so much about myself through both sports. It's empowering to be strong and I love being able to inspire other women out there to be strong and powerful if they want to be, regardless of what society says. I have an incredible support system through my family and loved ones. They travel near and far to watch me compete and support me and I truly couldn't do it without them. I am completely in love with my dogs and am grateful for their love everyday. I love traveling, camping, competing, and coaching.

How I Train
Attitude is everything! I have recently implemented a "no pout chair" into my training. I was finding myself getting upset and throwing tantrums when I would miss lifts and decided it looked absolutely silly. So I now keep a blue children's mini plastic chair nearby, you can't help but smile when you sit in it. The result: no more pouting! Bad training days make it hard to remember why we do what we do to ourselves and our bodies. Learn a little bit every day and have something positive to walk away with. I have learned three major things with training. 1. Focus only on your progress and celebrate your successes. 2. Seek validation from no one. 3. You are unstoppable, only you can set limits for yourself.
